Every link, from text or HTML

The extractor finds links in three ways:

  1. href and src attributes in HTML source, so you can paste a page’s source and get every link and image address, including relative paths like /about.
  2. Full URLs starting with http:// or https://.
  3. Bare domains like example.com or www.example.org/docs (optional), recognised by common top-level domains.

Trailing punctuation that belongs to the sentence (a full stop or closing bracket after a URL) is trimmed off. mailto:, javascript: and page-anchor links are ignored.

Options

  • Domains only lists each unique hostname (without “www.”), which is useful for auditing outbound links or building allowlists.
  • Remove duplicates and order by appearance, alphabetically or by domain.

To check the links’ anchor text and structure in an article, the Heading Structure Checker and HTML to Markdown Converter are good companions.

Questions

How do I get all links from a web page?

Copy the page source (View Source in your browser), paste it here and keep “Read href/src in HTML” on.

Can it list just the domains?

Yes. Turn on “Domains only” to get each unique hostname once.
