Formatting LinkedIn doesn’t offer

LinkedIn posts have no bold or italic buttons. Writers work around it with Unicode styled letters. This formatter lets you write naturally with simple Markdown-style marks and converts them for you:

You type You get
**bold** or __bold__ 𝗯𝗼𝗹𝗱
*italic* or _italic_ 𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘤
***both*** 𝙗𝙤𝙩𝙝
~~strike~~ s̶t̶r̶i̶k̶e̶
`code` 𝚌𝚘𝚍𝚎
- item at line start • item

Line breaks and blank lines are preserved. Paste the result into LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Facebook or anywhere else.

Use it sparingly

Styled Unicode letters aren’t real formatting: screen readers may read them as symbols, and search won’t match them. Bold a short hook or a key phrase (not whole paragraphs) and keep important words, names and links in plain text. The character count under the result shows your total against LinkedIn’s 3,000-character limit.

Questions

How do I bold text in a LinkedIn post?

Write like this in the box, copy the result and paste it into LinkedIn. The bold words are Unicode characters, so they keep their style.

Will styled text hurt my post’s reach?

There is no clear evidence either way, but styled words are not searchable and may be hard for screen readers. Use them for emphasis only.
